ABOUT THE SOLOIST SHOWCASE CONCERT
The Soloist Showcase Concert provides an opportunity for selected, high-level Conservatorium students to share their music with the community. This concert will also be the competitive forum for students who have registered to be considered for the Conservatorium Concerto Award.
WHO CAN PERFORM?
Only students taking instrumental or vocal lessons at the Conservatorium are eligible to apply to perform in this concert. Performers who are competing for the Conservatorium Concerto Award are guaranteed a place in the concert. The remaining places will be allocated to advanced students (generally at a Grade 8 standard or above). Please check with your teacher before applying to perform in this concert.
We will be in contact shortly after the registration closing date (27 November) to confirm your place in the concert. A full refund of accompaniment fees will be provided for students who are not offered a place to perform.
If you require accompaniment you will need to let us know at the time of registration. The accompaniment music should be provided to the office before the registration closing date.
The Conservatorium will provide an accompanist for the performance without charge, but students are asked to contribute towards rehearsal costs.
