Applications now open for Regional Youth Orchestra NSW

AUDITIONS: Regional Youth Orchestra NSW (RYO)
Closing date to apply: Friday 30 June 2017
Please read the info below and attached carefully before applying.
Regional Youth Orchestra NSW (RYO) is an audition-based youth orchestra for talented students from NSW Regional Conservatoriums, providing opportunities to play with other regional youth musicians and learn from leading conductors, orchestras and artists from Australia and the world in a range of projects each year.
All eligible students who wish to be considered for selection for RYO projects held in the period August 2017 to July 2018 must complete and submit an online application. This includes students who were selected for previous RYO projects.
Students eligible to apply must be:
- aged from 11 years to 20 years on 1 January 2017.
- currently enrolled as an orchestral instrumental student at a NSW Regional Conservatorium
- at minimum AMEB Grade 6 skill level or equivalent on their orchestral instrument(s)

Parent/guardian permission is required for students under 18 years submitting an application. Parents may be contacted to validate this application.
The closing date to submit the online application is 30 June 2017. Please note: an audition video is NOT required by this date for this stage of the application process.

Completing and submitting the online application form is the first stage of the application and audition process, and does not guarantee selection to audition in the next stage, or selection for a place in RYO.

After the application form has been received and assessed, selected students will be invited to audition and sent orchestral excerpts to prepare for further assessment. For this audition stage, the selected students will submit a videoed performance of their orchestral excerpts plus a short own choice piece, unaccompanied, via youtube.
