Junior String Orchestra

Thursday 5.00-6.00

An entry level string orchestra for players from approximately Unit 1 / AMEB grade 1 standard.

Concert Orchestra

Thursday 6.00-7.30

A full orchestra for more advanced players ideally with some ensemble experience. It caters for string players from approximately Unit 4 / AMEB Grade 4 (strings) and Unit 3 / AMEB Grade 3 (wind, brass & percussion).

The BlueScope Steel Youth Orchestra

Friday 4.45-7.15

This award-winning orchestra is for advanced students who have attained grade 5 standard or above in their chosen instrument. Membership of this ensemble is by audition only. It focuses on Classical and Symphonic literature and is directed by Nigel Edwards and managed by Tanya Phillips. The orchestra performs and tours regularly, both interstate and overseas. Recent tours have included Spain, Indonesia and Western Australia.

Friday Camerata

Friday 7.30-8.30

An chamber orchestra for advanced players only. Entry by audition / recommendation. This orchestra tackles the very finest orchestral chamber music and is for players of at least Level 4 / AMEB grade 7 standard.
