Beginner BandTuesday 4.00-5.00 An entry level band, no experience required. This band is directed by Eric Dunan. Junior BandMonday 4.00-5.00 This band is for players with at least 1 year's ensemble experience. From approximately Unit 1 / AMEB Grade 1 standard. This band is directed by Eric Dunan. Concert BandMonday 5.00-6.30 For more advanced players, this band will tackle challenging concert band repertoire. From approximately Unit 3 / AMEB Grade 3 standard. This band is directed by Eric Dunan. Wind EnsembleTuesday 5.00-6.30 For advanced players, this band will tackle complex concert band repertoire. From approximately Unit 5 / AMEB Grade 5 standard. Entry by audition / recommendation only. This band is directed by Conservatorium CEO Andrew Snell Concord BandWednesday 7.15-8.45 The Concord Band is a community band formed in 1980. It is a Symphonic Band, performing music in a variety of styles. Players are generally aged from 12 upwards.
The band has played at a variety of venues including Mt Keira, The Wollongong Mall, Belmore Basin, and a number of Conservatorium events. The band plays a variety of Concert Band Music and welcomes players of all ages with a minimum standard of approximately Unit 2 / AMEB Grade 2. This band is directed by David Rooney. To join one of these bands, musicians must play one of the following instruments: flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, french horn, trombone, euphonium, baritone, tuba, bass, or percussion. |
