Ensembles

Finding it difficult to continue practice on your own? Wishing you had more opportunities to express what you have learnt? Students of the Conservatorium can become members of a variety of ensembles, ranging from choral ensembles to jazz groups. Expressions of interest can often lead to the forming of new ensembles, as there are always students keen for group participation. Membership of Conservatorium ensembles is also available to those musicians who receive tuition elsewhere.

Choirs

Choirs at the Conservatorium always welcome enthusiastic singers who enjoy group practice and performance. Choirs are an ideal way to further vocal education, but choir members who wish to sing purely for enjoyment are equally wlecome.

Bands

The Conservatorium has many bands, ranging from concert bands at beginner level to an eighteen-piece Big Band. These bands are given the chance to perform at many local, national and international concerts and events and this is a perfect way to enjoy group music making in a fun and social setting.

Orchestras

The Conservatorium has a range of orchestras, including the BlueScope Steel Youth Orchestra, at a variety of standards to cater for musicians of any ability.
